India replaced South Korea of the five largest automakers


India replaced South Korea with the fifth largest world producers of cars in the first seven months of the current year. About it reports South Korean Agency Yonhup citing statistics.

In the first seven months in South Korea it produced 2.55 million vehicles, while in India – 2.57 million cars. According to statistics, in August the South Korean manufacturers have released 217 97 thousand cars, Indian – 387 thousand 704.

The Agency notes that South Korea has lost the fifth position for the first time in 12 years. Its fifth place among the world’s largest manufacturers of Seoul, has already lost in 2002, but again managed to regain that position in 2005.

If the trend during the year will remain that South Korea risks losing its fifth place among the world’s largest avtoproizvoditelej at the end of the year, the Agency said.

Last year the annual volume of car production in South Korea amounted to 4.55 million units. In India, this figure at the end of last year amounted to 4.12 million
