The US has threatened to cease cooperation with Russia on Syria from Aleppo

According to Reuters, citing a statement by U.S. state Department spokesman John Kirby, a threat to stop work together in Syria in conversation with the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov was voiced by the head of the American foreign Minister John Kerry.

Kerry said that Russia should aim to stop an offensive in Aleppo and restore the ceasefire.

In particular, Lavrov, Kerry said the fact that anti-government groups that Americans believe the “moderates” refuse to follow the agreement to consolidate the truce and act side by side with terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra.” “The parties discussed the possibilities to influence the situation in Aleppo in the interests of its normalization through the return to the basic principles of Russian-American agreements to promote the Syrian settlement”, – reads the statement of the Russian foreign Ministry.

The Secretary of state also expressed serious concern over the deteriorating situation in Syria and said that Washington considers Moscow is responsible for what is happening, including for the use of incendiary bombs in residential neighborhoods.

On the eve of the official White house spokesman Josh earnest issued a statement on the possible extension of economic sanctions against Russia because of the situation in Syria. Answering a journalist’s question about the situation in Aleppo and the support Russia rendered by government forces in Syria, earnest said, “the Sanctions have proved to be an effective tool in support of our interests around the world. And we certainly do not rule out possible sanctions”.
