Almost half of Russians considered unprofitable to keep money in deposits


Almost half of Russians do not consider Bank deposits a profitable way of investing money. This is evidenced by data survey, conducted by FOM.

According to the results, 46% of Russians said they considered the deposits in the Russian banks unprofitable way of investing money. On the contrary, the best way to store money Bank deposits call 30% of respondents.

At the same time, Russians tend to consider Bank deposits to be a reliable way to store money. Such was 43%. Are unreliable are recognized 39% of respondents.

The majority of respondents also felt that holding cash is better in the Bank than at home. For this are 47% of the respondents, 34% prefer to keep their money at home.

The data from the survey also shows that more than half of Russians — 65% — do not have a Deposit in the Bank. Over the past year, Russian banks have more confidence in only 6% of respondents, while less trust banks were 16%.

The survey was conducted on 25 September in 53 regions of Russia, it was attended by 1.5 thousand people.
