Lavrov called “ridiculous” statements about Russia’s intervention in U.S. elections

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an exclusive interview with CNN denied any interference of Moscow in the election campaign in the United States. According to him, such accusations are “ridiculous”.

“Of course, to get that kind of attention flattering for “regional powers” as he called us President [Barack] Obama some time ago,” Lavrov said. According to him, “now it’s all” believe that Russia is involved in the presidential elections in the United States.

The foreign Minister also has noticed that Washington had not provided “any evidence, no facts” to flattered that Moscow interferes with the election process.

Last week, the U.S. government has formally accused Russia of cyber attacks on networks of the Democratic party. The aim of the hacking, saying Washington was “interference in the election process in the United States.”
