Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin has decided to extend the humanitarian pause in Syria’s Aleppo.
“The President has in mind is possible to continue the humanitarian pause for withdrawal of the wounded and the release of militants who wish to leave the city. And, more importantly, in order to provide an opportunity for our American partners to execute previously taken on the promise and commitment of the disengagement of so-called moderate opposition and terrorist groups”, — quoted Peskov RIA Novosti.
He also noted that the decision on the resumption of hostilities in Aleppo will personally make Putin as the Supreme commander. “The decision will be made on the basis of the point of view of the General staff, information received from the field, and so on,” — said the press Secretary (quoted by “Interfax”).
Earlier the defense Ministry reported that militants resumed the offensive in Eastern Aleppo, so the Agency appealed to the Russian President with a request to resume airstrikes in East of Aleppo.
