The head of the Odessa regional administration, the former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili said that resigns, reports channel “112 Ukraine” with reference to the policy statement at the briefing, which was broadcast channel.
“I decided to resign and start a new stage of the struggle. I will not give up, I don’t get tired. Let them not hope and do not let them expect to get rid of me. I’m that soldier that goes much as you can and then as much as necessary”, — Saakashvili said.
He promised to fight until “complete victory” to rid Ukraine of “corruption and dirt that capitalisim on the blood of our soldiers, the victims of the Maidan, which has betrayed the idea of the Ukrainian revolution and whose only motivation is to line their own pockets, to strengthen your clan and finally to Rob Ukraine.”
Saakashvili became the Governor of Odessa region in may 2015.
Earlier on Monday the resignation of the head of the police Department of the Odessa region, Giorgi Lortkipanidze.
In may of this year resigned another ally Saakshvili — Eka Zguladze, who served as first Deputy interior Minister and oversaw the creation of the new patrol police.
Saakashvili for a long time clashed with various officials in Odessa. They exchanged mutual accusations of corruption. Saakashvili insisted that the situation in the region is critical, and demanded the intervention of Kiev. In parallel, the former President of Georgia launched its program of reforms aimed at combating corruption.

Saakashvili accused Trukhanov of involvement in the demolition of the old mansion in Arcadia and said that the mayor has backers in the presidential administration. In October of last year, Saakashvili said that the mayor Trukhanov was elected by massive fraud. In October of this year at home, Saakashvili held elections to the Parliament of Georgia, which his supporters lost to the ruling party “Georgian dream”. Before the election, Saakashvili promised to come to Georgia, but abandoned their plans after the statements of the authorities about what he’s going to prison.
