The Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev has called the outcome of the US presidential election unexpected and put forward his version of why the winner was the Donald trump, not Hillary Clinton.
“I think what happened in America today — unexpected, maloideae the outcome of the election is in a sense a revolt, an uprising of those who work, create value, who feeds against anyone who interferes with their work, to live and feed normally. This is a very important signal, I think. Everyone should consider the political class has to give back to the class of producers — those who work, create value”, — said the Minister (quoted by TASS). He added that the political class must not interfere with the operation of a business.
Speaking about the revolt of the producers, the speaker also quoted President Vladimir Putin. “A year ago he met with a foreign business audience and said the following sentence, which is very important to such as I am, and showed himself, do not interfere to live and work, such as you,” — said Ulyukayev.
This year, Putin estimated voters trump about the same as it is now speaker. Addressing the participants of the international discussion club “Valdai”, the President then said that trump represents the interests of ordinary people, “that part of society who is tired of the elites in power”. “He works in this field. How it will be effective — elections will show,” — said Putin.
After Clinton conceded defeat, and trump made his first speech as elected President, the Kremlin reported that Putin sent Trump a telegram, congratulated on his victory in the elections.
According to preliminary results, trump has won more than 270 electoral votes than guaranteed a victory.
