Obama gave the order to kill militants “An-Nusra” in Syria

According to the newspaper The Washington Post, citing government officials, the White house ordered the Pentagon to destroy all the leaders of the “al-Nusra Dzhebhat” (banned in Russia as a terrorist organization). Obama explained his decision by the fact that, in his opinion, this group can turn its controlled areas in Syria in the base “al-Qaeda” for penetration into Europe.

The newspaper pointed out that “al-Nusra” (renamed this year to “jabhat al Fatah al-sham) is one of the strongest groups opposing President Bashar al-Assad, and, therefore, Obama’s decision might be related to the decision to make the priority theme is fight against terrorism, and not regime change in Damascus.

The reason for this was the recent reports of the intelligence services that al-Qaida in Syria creates a major terrorist base, and may seize the position, which loses the “Islamic state” (banned in Russia as a terrorist organization).

States that in connection with the strengthening of Russian air defense attack will be carried out with the aid of drones. According to WP, from the beginning of October, the Americans managed to destroy four high-ranking militants “An-Nusra”. The latest attack was carried out on 2 November, but its results are still not known.

Russia has repeatedly demanded the US to separate the so-called moderate opposition from “Dzhebhat EN-Nusra”, including in Aleppo. The foreign Ministry indicate that so far Washington did not go forward in this matter.
