The General Director of “Rosoboronexport” Anatoly Isaykin, who on 17 December marks 70 years to the end of the current year will leave his post. About this “Vedomosti” told two managers of the state Corporation “rostec”, which is controlled by Rosoboronexport and the government official.
According to them, the place Isaykin considered various candidates, but the most probable of them — Alexander Fomin, who is now the Director of the Federal service for military-technical cooperation (FS VTS), and until 2005 worked in the “Rosoboronexport”.
In the “Rosoboroneksporta” there are rumors on the appointment of the Director General head of “Rosteh” Anatoly Serdyukov, however the Manager of Rostec calls such an outcome is unlikely.
About the possible resignation Isaykin until the end of this year, in September, reported “Kommersant”. Then as his probable successor was named General Director of “Helicopters of Russia” Alexander Mikheev. Later, however, the contract with Chemezov was extended, and the head of “Rosteh” (“Helicopters of Russia” he also controlled) Sergey Chemezov was called inappropriate change of the management of the company in a falling market and falling orders.
A former officer of the military special forces of the KGB, he became the head of “Rosoboronexport” in 2007, when his predecessor Sergei Chemezov went to the offer “assistance”. Executive Director of the Union of Russian gunsmiths Ruslan Pukhov calls him the best General Director of “Rosoboronexport” for the last 20 years, in which exports via state intermediary grew from $6.7 billion to $12.5 billion.
The main challenge for the “Rosoboronexport” were Sanzio USA and the European Union, after which the company broke calculations on existing contracts, said the interlocutors of “Vedomosti”.
