FSB officers detained five members of an extremist group associated with banned terrorist organization “Islamic state” (ISIL), who were preparing terrorist attacks and crimes of an extremist nature on the territory of Ingushetia and in Moscow. On Tuesday, November 15, reported the public relations Center (ATC) of the FSB, reports “Interfax”.
In households that housed the detainees, as well as in specially equipped caches seized five firearms and two ready-to-use explosive devices weighing 10 kg of TNT each, added to the FSB.
In addition, the detainees were discovered self-made detonators, components for improvised explosive devices, ammunition for various weapons.
Against detainees prosecuted under part 2 St. 205.5 of the criminal code on the fact of participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation, banned in Russia.
The intelligence Agency also recalled that on 7 October 2016, during the counter-terrorist operation in Nazran and the village of Gazi-Yurt in Ingushetia, was killed the leader of the group — the emissary LIH, Zubairi Saytiev, who arrived from Syria for the resumption of terrorist activities on the territory of the Republic and five of his accomplices.
