Annual big press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin will be held on 22 December, reported on the Kremlin website. The time and place of the meeting in the message is not specified.
Previous big conference was held on 17 December 2015 at the international trade Centre (ITC) on the Krasnopresnenskaya embankment. To prepare for the press conference was dedicated 16.2 million RUB.
Then the number of journalists who wanted to ask questions to the head of state, was a record: the Kremlin has accredited almost 1.4 thousand Russian and foreign media representatives. The head of state answered their questions 3 hours 7 minutes.
The main agenda of the conference was economic. Putin replied to questions about oil prices and risks for the budget, about the “Plato” and the abolition of the vehicle tax, the privatization of state-owned enterprises, the Central Bank policy, raising the retirement age and economic relations with Ukraine.
Annual press conference Putin holds since 2001. He did break in 2008-2011, where he held the post of Prime Minister. Longer just the journalists ‘ questions, the President answered in 2008: the press conference lasted 4 hours and 40 minutes.
