Kiev unveiled details of upcoming rocket fire near Crimea

Military-air forces of Ukraine will hold tests of anti-aircraft medium-range missiles on December 1-2 in Kherson region. About it reports “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to the head of the press service of the APU of the Novel Urchila.

Urchila explained that the exercise will involve the crews of combat aircraft, transport aircraft units anti-aircraft missile troops, Radiotechnical troops and communications, and unmanned aircraft. The representative of the armed forces has assured that the shooting “will be held exclusively in the airspace of Ukraine, in the open sea, they will be conducted in accordance with international law.”

Ukraine announced holding the missile firings on November 24. The decision was taken without coordination with Moscow. Kiev reported that he has reserved “airspace over the high seas in the area of responsibility of the Russian Federation”. Ukraine also said about his “visits” airspace “above the territorial waters of the Russian Federation with maximum depression on the 12 km”.

Russia protested because of Ukraine’s plans to conduct missile firing and demanded to abandon the exercise. Kiev called Russia’s reaction “hysterical” and asked Moscow not to interfere with the teachings of the “provocations”.
