The West will be more difficult to maintain a unified position towards Russia, with Donald trump as President of the United States. This opinion was expressed by the head of the European Council, Donald Tusk, in an interview with Polish television TVN24.
“Maintaining a unified position of Europe towards Russia in the Ukraine conflict, and more broadly in global Affairs, it became possible including thanks to the great support of President Obama”, – quotes Tusk Reuters.
“Today I think that after the elections and the victory of Donald trump, it will be harder to build a clear and common policy of the entire Western world against Russia,” he added.
Tusk also said the details of his first conversation with trump. He said that first of all he was interested in the position of elected President of the USA on the situation in Ukraine. However, the trump, according to Tusk, during a conversation was focused on the impending withdrawal of Britain from the EU.
