The media reported on the requirement of the Hague to deprive Ukraine of financial assistance from the EU

The Hague requires to be excluded from the Association agreement of the EU with Ukraine the right of Kiev on additional military and financial aid, reports Reuters, citing a draft resolution, which the Prime Minister of the Netherlands mark Rutte intends to present next Thursday at the EU summit in Brussels.

In addition, according to the Agency, Rutte intends to request that the text of the agreement did not give Ukrainian citizens the right “to move freely and work.”

On November 17 an agreement on a visa-free regime with Ukraine is valid on a temporary basis, however, the Netherlands has promised that will require its recall, if EU leaders do not approve of their additional requirements, says the Agency.

The Netherlands remains the only EU member state which has not ratified the Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU. In April 2016, the referendum in the Netherlands on the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU in the Netherlands more than 60% of voters refused to support this document. Thus, the Netherlands became the only country that has not ratified the agreement on visa-free regime of the European Union with Ukraine.

In December 2016, the EU approved a mechanism that allows you to pause temporarily stop the visa-free regime with countries outside the Union, which hindered the ratification of the agreement on visa-free regime with Ukraine. According to the document, EU member States and the European Commission will be able to initiate the mechanism of suspension of the visa regime. Now Hague must submit his proposals for agreement by the EU summit, which will take place on 15 and 16 December in Brussels.

According to the head of the European Council Donald Tusk at the EU summit can be found the final solution to the question of how the Netherlands will ratify the Association agreement with the EU, without prejudice to the interests of its citizens.
