Rosstat estimated the cost of food for the Christmas table


Moscow. 14 Dec. The cost of the food basket for new year’s table in Russia on average (based on a family of four) stood at the end of 2016 5585 rubles, which is 3.6% higher than a year earlier, according to data of Rosstat. This pack includes: cooked sausage, herring, chicken, cheese, chocolates, bread, apples, canned fish, tea, potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, eggs, pickled cucumbers, canned peas, domestic sparkling wine, mineral water and finally the vodka.

According to Rosstat, the cost of preparation of herring under a fur coat for the year increased by 3.7% and is 154,96 of the ruble. The cost of a set of products for cooking Olivier has increased by 1.8% – up to 310,06 of the ruble.

The most expensive set of products for the new year’s table will cost in the Chukotka Autonomous district – 8382 rubles, and the cheapest – in the Kalmykia Republic (4124 rubles). In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the products will cost and 6863 5904 rubles respectively.
