Trump has refused to participate in projects in Azerbaijan and Georgia

The US President-elect Donald trump has abandoned plans to build a hotel in Azerbaijan and intends to withdraw from the project for the construction of a skyscraper in Georgia, according to The Asscociated Press.

Alan Garten, General counsel-consultant for the Trump Organization, which was to participate in these projects, explained that the decision of the billionaire associated with the outstanding developers license agreements. He called the exit routine optimization, to avoid a conflict of interest after the inauguration of the trump.

However, The Asscociated Press indicates that the businessman of Azerbaijani project may occur with the occurrence of some corruption issues and overall perception of Azerbaijan “as the country for money laundering”.

“The partner [trump] Anar Mammadov, son of Azerbaijan’s transportation Minister [Ziya Mammadov], which is described in the leaked to the public American diplomatic documents as “known to be corrupt, even for Azerbaijan”, — says the Agency.

Trump Organization, along with Azerbaijan, was to build a skyscraper in Batumi. Alan Garten said that trump this month sent a “notice of default” partner that can be considered the first step to getting out of the deal.
