Australian police said on the prevention of attacks of ISIS in the centre of Melbourne

The Australian police arrested seven people who allegedly planned to perform in the Christmas series of attacks in the second largest city of Melbourne, reports Associated Press with reference to the chief Commissioner of police in the Australian state of Victoria Graham Ashton.

According to him, seven of the detainees, inspired by the “Islamic state” (LIH, an organization banned in Russia), intended to attack in the center of the city place train station is Flinders street, Federation square and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Ashton said that the police followed those who were allegedly planning attacks. According to law enforcement agencies, he added, the suspects were preparing to use explosives and other weapons.

The threat’s been neutralized as a result of raids that took place in the recently concluded Ashton.
