Ex-MP accused Poroshenko in the multimillion-dollar kickbacks


“I am the elected member of Parliament of Ukraine. I personally watched as Poroshenko was involved in corruption of unprecedented magnitude. I personally witnessed how he stole hundreds of millions of dollars, getting kickbacks from every contract involving state-owned enterprises in Ukraine”, — said Onishchenko in an article in Time.

“Those who refuse to give kickbacks immediately become disloyal, and their attacking state. It happened to me,” said the Deputy.

According to Onishchenko, he, together with Yulia Timoshenko was Pro-Western opposition. “Poroshenko said us that we can either support his policies, or we will have to answer on anti-corruption charges. When I refused, he arrested my lawyers and subordinates, took my bills and forced to leave the country I love,” said he.

Onishchenko urged the world not to close their eyes to the crimes taking place in Ukraine, because they “threaten regional security.” “We cannot allow Poroshenko to do the same as his predecessor Viktor Yanukovych. The time has come to put an end to the lies”, he added.

Earlier Onishchenko accused Poroshenko that he spent most of the money from the International monetary Fund on the war. According to him, contracts to meet the needs of the army served the company close to the President of Ukraine. However, he was unable to give an exact amount of money spent.

Former Deputy Onishchenko Ukraine is suspected of embezzling funds by creating a “gas scheme”. According to the National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), their actions Onishchenko has caused the state damage amounting to UAH 3 bn. On 5 July, the Verkhovna Rada withdrew from Onishchenko integrity and gave permission for his arrest.
