The experts, carrying out by order of Ministry of transport feasibility studies on distribution systems “Plato” for trucks weighing between 3.5 and 12 tonnes considered that this should not be done. Blinkin added that the results of the study have been presented to the customer. The representative of the Ministry of transport confirmed that the work was accepted by the scientific and technical Council.

As previously wrote “Vedomosti”, the Ministry of transportation in June signed a contract called “Scientific substantiation of expediency of introduction in Russia of a system of toll-road shared use of vehicles with a permissible maximum weight from 3.5 to 12 tons in order a phased transition to the principle of “user pays”. The contract went to the Higher school of Economics.

Now the fees in the framework of the “Plato” levied on trucks weighing 12 tonnes and above.
