The foreign Ministry said about the “sanctions hysteria” leaving the Obama administration

Anti-Russian sanctions, which President Barack Obama imposed in connection with the alleged cyber attacks from Moscow are counterproductive and are intended to cause damage including the future process of restoration of bilateral relations, said the representative of the Russian foreign Ministry on issues of human rights, democracy and rule of law Konstantin Dolgov, Interfax reports.

“Any anti-Russian sanctions futile and counterproductive,” he said. “I can only pereotsenit that the sanctions hysteria demonstrates a complete lack of orientation in space of the outgoing US administration”, he added.

“Such unilateral steps intended to harm relations and complicate their recovery in the future,” he said.
