Zakharov announced retaliatory measures to U.S. sanctions


About this Zakharov wrote on his page in Facebook. Earlier, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the need to give “urgent” response to the new sanctions the United States is not.

“Tomorrow will be official statements, countermeasures and much more,” wrote Zakharov.

In his post, Zakharova addressed to U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry with words of solidarity. “Mr. Kerry, in this difficult for the United States the time You will allow to Express words of solidarity — You did everything possible to prevent collapse of the foreign policy of Your country,” she wrote. The administration of President Barack Obama, foreign Ministry spokesman called “a group of foreign losers.”

December 29, President Obama signed an Executive order to expand sanctions against Russia in connection with the investigation of hacker attacks on political parties in the United States. The list includes Federal security service, the Main Directorate of the General staff (up to 2010 — the Main intelligence Directorate of the General staff), Autonomous noncommercial organization “Professional Association of designers of Informatics systems”, LLC “Special Technology Center”, “OPC Security” (Esage Lab ex).

The list of sanctions against individuals expanded to six names. It comprised the head of the GRU of the General staff Igor Korobov, his first Deputy Igor Kostyukov, Vladimir Alekseev and the Deputy Korobov Sergey Lizunov. In addition, it includes the earlier declared wanted by US authorities on charges of hacking Alexey Bilan and Evgeny Bogachev. The post last is not specified, however, lists several aliases.

On the same day the US state Department announced the expulsion from the country for 35 Russian diplomats. They must leave the U.S. within 72 hours.
