Part of the Syrian opposition froze preparations for the talks in Astana

Part of the Syrian opposition said about the freezing of the preparation for the talks in Astana due to violations of the cease-fire, which was committed by Damascus, Reuters reports.

The statement said the rebels, referred to by the Agency, all discussions related to negotiations to stop until the government forces and their allies, supported by Iran, will not cease to violate the agreements reached with the participation of Russia and Turkey.

29 December 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the signing of the Syrian government and the armed opposition of the agreement on cease-fire in Syria. The agreement assumed that the period of silence will start at midnight on December 30.
