First in 2017 currency trading opened with the strengthening of the ruble against the dollar and the Euro. In the first minutes of trading, the dollar fell to 60.8 RUB 47,25 kopecks below the closing level on 30 December 2016.
Simultaneously, the Euro on the Moscow stock exchange fell to RUB 63,64, having lost in comparison with the closing of the last trading last year from 88 kopecks.
Strengthening of ruble happens against the backdrop of rising world oil prices. During the first in 2017 trading on the stock exchange ICE cost of a barrel of Brent rose on Tuesday to $57,28 by 0.81% above the closing level on 30 December 2016.
Previously Deputy General Director for investment analysis of IR “Zerich capital Management” Andrei Vernikov said that, according to polls by Reuters, by the end of 2017, the price of a barrel of Brent can gradually rise to $60.
Both major stock indexes of the Moscow exchange today also show an increase. Rouble MICEX index at the peak rose to 2257,7 points (+1.1 percent), “dollar” RTS – to 1165 points (+1.1 percent).
By 10:55 the dollar on the Moscow stock exchange amounted to 61,0575 Euro – 63,8575 RUB the Value of the MICEX index by this time has reached 2257,31 points, the RTS index RTS – 1164,17 points.
