The Russian foreign Ministry accused the U.S. of “sanctions mania”

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia consider that the new sanctions imposed by the U.S. against Russian citizens on January 9, indicate that the White house tries to shift the responsibility for the loss of the candidate in presidents from Democratic party Hillary Clinton on Russia. This was stated by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov, reports “RIA Novosti”.

Ryabkov called the extension of the sanctions list of the Russians associated with the “Magnitsky case”, another “hostile attack” the outgoing US administration.

In his words, to “overt Russophobia” of the Obama administration’s “mixed with the anger” caused by the loss of Hillary Clinton and by a desire to find those responsible for this defeat, “where else, but not ourselves.” According to the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia, for all the obvious “inadequacy of the Washington figures who have fallen into the “sanctions mania”.

As said Ryabkov, for the next ten days which remained before the inauguration of the elected President of the USA of Donald trump, the Obama administration could make “a lot of mangled wood.”

Earlier, the U.S. Treasury in five people have expanded the list of individuals who fell under the sanctions in connection with the “Magnitsky case”. Under the new sanctions the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin and Dmitry Kovtun and Deputy of the state Duma from LDPR Andrei Lugovoi, which took place in great Britain in the case of the polonium poisoning of former Russian special services officer Alexander Litvinenko as suspects.
