The head of the Ministry Alexander Tkachev will go to the Berlin summit of agriculture Ministers of the G20 countries, which will be held on January 22, despite the fact that is under sanctions. It follows from the message on the website of the Russian Ministry.
During the visit, Tkachev will hold a series of bilateral meetings with the colleagues of the “big twenty”, the report says.
The Ministry of agriculture also said that the Russian delegation will take part in international agricultural exhibition “Green week 2017”, which will also be held at this time in Berlin. According to the report, Russia will be represented by Deputy Tkachev Evgeny Gromyko and the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert. The Russian exposition at the exhibition is not submitted, the Ministry said.
Last year, the Russian delegation refused to participate in the exhibition “Green week 2016”, as the German authorities have not given Tkachev permission to enter the country because of the sanctions.
Tkachev was included in the extended sanctions list of the European Union in 2014, when he held the post of Governor of the Krasnodar territory. Sanctions against him involve the freezing of assets and ban on entry into EU countries.
According to a source “RIA Novosti” in the Ministry of agriculture, Tkachev trip to Berlin this year was made possible thanks to the invitation of the German side.
