China has reported rapid growth in the birth rate


A result of changes in family law in 2015, when the authorities allowed Chinese families to have a second child, the country has seen a boom in the birth rate, according to Reuters.

If the period 2011-2015, the average in the country were born to 1.4 million people in 2016, this figure had grown significantly, to 17.6 million people.

“While the total number of women of childbearing age has decreased by 5 million, the number of births increased significantly, showing that the policy adjustments in the area of family planning was very timely and extremely effective,” — said the representative of the Ministry of health.
