Rosatom has offered to Fund the construction of new nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic


Rosatom ready to Fund the construction of new nuclear power plants (NPP) in the Czech Republic. About it in interview to the Czech newspaper MF Dnes said the first Deputy General Director of the Corporation Kirill Komarov, reports “RIA Novosti”.

To Finance the construction of new nuclear power units the Corporation offers, through the provision of a loan or equity participation of the customer in their construction, said Komarov.

In the summer of 2016, the Ministry of industry and trade of the Czech Republic sent to potential technology providers request for information on the construction of new power units in the country. The office invites providers to formulate technical and commercial aspects of potential involvement in the project of construction of new nuclear generating capacity in the Czech Republic. The request was sent to companies from France, China, Korea, USA, Japan and Russia.

In November 2016, the senior Vice-President of RusAtom overseas leoŇ° of Tomicek said that the Corporation has delivered to the Czech office and the company CEZ information package with materials about potential participation in the project of construction of new NPP power units in the country. Thus, the Russian company has in principle indicated their interest to participate in the project, noted in “Rosatom”.
