Ex-MP accused Poroshenko in an attempt to take away business from Akhmetov

In an interview with “Strenia” Onishchenko said that in 2014, Poroshenko asked him to find a lawyer to return his company Naftogazvydobuvannya, the largest private operator of hydrocarbon fisheries in Ukraine. Former member claims that a few years ago Poroshenko lost his stake in the company, which belonged to Nestor Shufrich and Nikolay Rudkovsky. The latest “found phenomenal deposits” and sold the company to businessman Rinat Akhmetov.

Onishchenko says that as President, Poroshenko asked the Minister of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine Igor Shevchenko “create “the oil and gas production” licensing issues to pressure and “positioning” Akhmetov to negotiate in the right spirit.”

According to the former Deputy, to deprive Akhmetov of the mining license, failed because it was opposed by the Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who “built a strong communication with billionaire.” Supposedly this is what led to the conflict between Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk.

Onishchenko says that Poroshenko personally demanded from Akhmetov to pay him $200 million lease, but he refused.

Shevchenko told the newspaper that he had been asked to “facilitate the return of stolen deposits,” explaining that “oil and gas production” was associated with who left the country Eduard Stavitsky, at the time, Viktor Yanukovych held the post of Minister of energy and coal industry.
