Headed the Perm Krai in 2012 Viktor Basargin will retire on Monday, February 6, reports the TV channel “Rain”, citing sources close to the presidential administration and the regional authorities.
As told to the sides of the channel, replacement Basargin was looking for for a long time, because the Kremlin has decided that the presidential election of 2018, the region should be headed by a different person.
As one of the reasons for the resignation of the sources named constant inter-elite conflicts in the region, adding that it allegedly did not suit the presidential administration. In addition, the regional leaders was “not the best” relationships with influencers in the region, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev, said the TV channel.
According to relatives up to the sides of the channel, Basargina can replace either one of the current Vice Governor, or Deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo, the former head of the regional administration Alexei Frolov.
