Kiev called Russia responsible for the energy crisis in Ukraine

The crisis with the blocking of the supply of anthracite coal from the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions provoked Russia. This statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Gennady Zubko in the program “Svoboda words” on ICTV channel.

According to him, Russia is interested in Ukrainian enterprises on the territory controlled by Kiev, stopped work because of a shortage of raw materials.

“Who benefits from it, so now was the threat of the energy supply in Avdiivka, but almost throughout Ukraine. I can say first and foremost, it is Russia, which wants us to buy Russian coal, we understand that this is forcing <…> Is using Russia in their political and strategic objectives of our Ukrainian patriots,” said Zubko.

Monday Ukrenergo” and the Ministry of energy suggested that the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers to declare a state of emergency in the electricity market due to the stop of the supply of coal-anthracite coal from the Donbass.

In turn, the Minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik the TV channel “112 Ukraine” said that the only alternative to cover the deficit of anthracite coal is the direct import of electricity from Russia or of Russian gas deliveries to gas-oil power plant units.

According to the Ministry, with the current balances of anthracite on the Ukrainian warehouses in 927 thousand MT and a daily consumption of 30 thousand tons on average they will last for 40 days.
