The WSJ learned about U.S. talks on the creation of the Alliance against Iran

The administration of the President of the United States Donald trump is discussing with some countries the possibility of creating an Alliance with a shared intelligence information with Israel, to counter Iran. About this newspaper the Wall Street Journal reported several middle Eastern officials.

According to five officials from Arab countries, the United States is negotiating with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan. Later, the Alliance can join and other countries.

According to the newspaper, the parties are discussing to create an Alliance like NATO, in accordance with which the attack on one country could be regarded as an attack on all members in the Union. However, officials emphasize that all the details are still being worked out.

The white house can provide military and intelligence support to the Alliance. Along with this, neither the US nor Israel would not be considered part of the Union, writes the WSJ.

“They [the US administration] asked the diplomatic corps in Washington, are we willing to join forces in the presence of Israel. Israel’s role would be limited to sharing intelligence and not conduct ground operations,” the newspaper quoted a diplomat from an Arab country.
