In Minsk, the opposition went on the March against the decree on parasitism


In Minsk held a March against adopted by the government decree on parasitism. According to the Belarusian edition Tut.by in the action take part more than 2 thousand people.

The campaign “March of angry Belarusians” was organized at the call of former presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich. As the portal “Charter 97”, the demonstration organizers have prepared a resolution to the country’s authorities. It sets out requirements about cancellation of the decree “On the prevention of social dependency” stop the reduction of income and the transition to free elections.

Rally participants gathered on October square in Central Minsk and launched on the steps of the Palace of the Republic a banner “Who is the main parasite? President!”. In addition, the demonstrators chanted slogans “Lukashenka — no!” “Dictatorship — no!” “Lukashenko is a Satrap!”.

After collection, the protesters began to move in the direction of the Ministry for taxes and levies, which planned to pass a resolution of the March to authorities. According to the organizers, Nikolai Statkevich, just to participate in the March was going from 3 to 5 thousand people. Edition Tut.by reported 2 thousand participants.

The decree “On prevention of social dependency” was signed by President Alexander Lukashenko in April 2015. The decree established that the unemployed citizens (including permanent residents foreigners and persons without citizenship) must annually pay into the Treasury a fee in the amount of 20 basic units (14 thousand rbl.).

Wednesday, February 15, it became known that in total the fee paid 46 thousand. The chief of the taxation of physical persons of the Ministry for taxes and levies of Belarus Mikhail Rassolko, reported that the debtors had collected about $7 million.
