Nadezhda Savchenko refused parliamentary immunity

The people’s Deputy of Ukraine Nadezhda Savchenko said in his Facebook that refuses parliamentary immunity.

“The third anniversary of the Maidan. It’s time for politicians to fulfill their promises without a third Maidan! The fulfilment of the first promise: I waive the parliamentary immunity,” she said.

Savchenko made to record the photo in which she holds the corresponding statement in the name of Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on rules of Pavel Pynzenyk.

Savchenko urged to refuse immunity of all MPs, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, as well as judges.

Parliamentary and judicial immunity is enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine. In February 2015, the Ukrainian Parliament voted for the abolition of immunity of MPs and judges. The project was approved and the Constitutional court. However, the document was never adopted.
