The administration of the President instructed the government to provide monthly report on economic developments that may have a negative impact on the socio-political and socio-economic situation in the regions. This is reported by Vedomosti, citing two Federal officials and sources in the companies of the metallurgical, automotive and oil and gas industry.

According to the newspaper, the relevant agencies, including the Ministry of energy, Ministry of transport and Ministry of industry and trade shall determine the list of leading companies that will generate monthly reports for them about the most sensitive events. In accordance with the decree, companies will have to analyze each risk according to several criteria: the event or condition that is the source of its manifestation, date and assessment of possibility of occurrence, its location, population in the zone of maximum risk, and how to eliminate it or minimize its impact.

This information will need to provide the Kremlin with April and up to may of 2018, the newspaper said. The events that can have a positive impact on the political and economic situation, will also be monitored.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov has declared to the edition that “everything is in line with the usual exchange of information”. However, the sources of “Vedomosti” argue that it is preparing for presidential elections. According to an employee of one of the companies-addressees of the letter about the positive developments of the Kremlin need to know in order to make him an visit, and on the negative — to consider how to smooth over the situation.

According to a source close to the government, the list of energy includes about 40 companies, including Mechel, Rosneft, LUKOIL, Transneft, Gazprom, NOVATEK and “RusHydro”. Employees of some companies confirmed to the newspaper the request and noted that the already prepared answers.
