President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the decision of the authorities of Donbass to enter external management in Ukrainian enterprises is “further evidence of the fact of Russian occupation of Eastern Ukraine”. The head of state said during a meeting with the Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain Boris Johnson and Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Wasikowski, reported on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
According to Poroshenko, there was a “gross and appalling” breach of international law, “Russia was de facto confiscated Ukrainian state and private assets” in the Donbass. He noted that this comes against the backdrop of the gas and electricity supplies from Russia to samoprovozglashennost the DNI and the LC.
“It is absolutely clear confirmation of the fact of occupation of this territory by the Russian troops together with full control of the state border in an uncontrolled area,” — said the President of Ukraine.
He said that Russia is responsible for violating the ceasefire and other consequences of military action.
Poroshenko has also called for sanctions against those who will assign Ukrainian assets in the Donbass: “to those who will enter into the so-called property of confiscated assets, were jointly sanctioned for the violation of international and Ukrainian legislation”.
During a meeting with foreign Ministers of Poland and great Britain the President of Ukraine also said that the Kremlin “demonstrates the escalation of the situation in the East of Ukraine,” noting a sharp increase in the number of attacks and victims among the civilian population and Ukrainian soldiers, as well as the use of heavy equipment and artillery.
