China threatened to “take action” for the deployment of US missile defense in South Korea

China promised to take “retaliatory measures” on the deployment of us missile defense system in South Korea, reports Associated Press.

Press Secretary of the Ministry of foreign Affairs Geng Shuang said that China “resolutely opposes” the deployment of U.S. missile defense system in South Korea, and “certainly will take the necessary measures to protect national interests and security.” He also added that the “consequences” of these steps will be on Washington and Seoul.

Before the U.S. sent two missile complex THAAD to South Korea in response to missile tests “unidentified type” North Korea. According to Yonhap news Agency, the components of THAAD battery was delivered on Tuesday at a military base in Osan strategic military transport aircraft C-17. Among them — two rocket launchers.

South Korean defense Ministry on March 6 announced the launch of “unidentified missiles” of the DPRK. Earlier this morning the Chairman of Committee of Federation Council on defense and security Viktor Ozerov said that the testing of ballistic missiles by Pyongyang — is only a pretext for Washington, with which Russia would “understand”. “The General staff will analyze, draw conclusions and present leadership of the country offers the response,” — said Ozerov. “Under the guise of the North Korean threat if they want to close the ring around Russia, then at least to impose it from the West and the East” (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).
