In the Kremlin promised to consider the proposal to postpone the election on 18 March


Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin has not yet formed a position on the proposal to postpone the election of the President of Russia on 18 March 2018, reports .

“While any position is not formed. Here you will need time to consider this initiative”, — said Peskov. According to him, the decision can be made “in the foreseeable future”.

Earlier with the initiative of senators to postpone the election on March 18, 2018 — the day of joining of Crimea to Russia was supported by the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

Voting in 2018 is to be held on March 11. If this day will work because of the holidays, the elections will take on the first Sunday of March.
