Vice-President and head of the security service of “Rosneft” Oleg Feoktistov was fired from the oil company and the FSB. It is reported by “Novaya Gazeta”, citing sources in “Rosneft” and the FSB.
The representative of “Rosneft” Mikhail Leontyev in conversation with called the information about the dismissal of “nonsense”.
Oleg Feoktistov moved to the position of Vice-President of “Rosneft” in September 2016.
Feoktistov was in charge of the operation in the case of ex-Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev, who was detained at night on November 15. According to TFR, the Minister was caught red-handed when receiving a bribe of $2 million (over 130 million); the representatives of “Rosneft”. The money, according to investigators, the ex-Minister extorted for the positive conclusion of Ministry of economic development concerning the purchase of Rosneft shares of the company “Bashneft”, owned by the state (50.8 per cent). The speaker forced the representatives of state-owned companies to the deal, threatening to impede its activities.
Dismissal once one of the most influential members of the security services, obviously, connected with the case speaker, said the source close to the leadership of the FSB. “Overdid it with the Minister,” he said.
