According to him, the energy blockade carries threats to the industry, undermining the economy of the Republic, as well as opportunities for implementation of social programs and supporting national security.
The head of government noted that the responsibility for the blockade of Donbass is to Russia. “The blockade is solely, in my opinion, in the interests of the Russian Federation”, — he stressed. “Today 2-4 billion (from $74 to 148 million) every month we lose. It today and the price of the energy losses from the blockade,” — said Groisman.
He added that the negative impact of the embargo in the first place, will affect the citizens of Ukraine, who will have to pay for the consequences of any “relevant losses”.
“What we took away his Ukrainian coal and used in the Ukrainian order for metallurgy and for energy, it was in the interests of Ukraine. We got taxes to the budget from which to Finance all the needs of what was needed. It is obvious that the blockade will pay every Ukrainian their losses,” — said the Prime Minister.
Groisman also opposed the procurement of coal from Russia, as he considers it “the land of the enemy”, which Kiev must pay the currency to pay for goods, which “seriously addicted.”
Earlier, the Prime Minister said that the blockade of Donbass is forcing state enterprises to purchase coal in Russia that is not favorable to Kiev. According to the head of the company “Azovstal” Enver Tskitishvili, who in late February held a meeting with Volodymyr Groysman, this situation has forced the company to seek supplies of coal in Russia and the United States. The plant itself, he said, since the beginning of the blockade of Donbass lost $3.6 million.
