The IMF postponed the meeting of tranche b $1 billion for the “assessment of events” in Ukraine

The Board of Directors of the International monetary Fund (IMF) postponed the discussion of anti-crisis program of Ukraine, which was scheduled for Monday, March 20.

As has told a source TASS in the IMF meeting, in fact, was already prepared, it is expected the completion of the third review of the program and granting Kiev the next tranche in the amount of $1 billion.

However, on the morning of Saturday, March 18, the IMF issued a notice to the press which referred to the adjournment of the meeting. “A short delay is necessary to assess the developments and policy measures affecting the financial sector and wider economic prospects,” the Agency quoted an explanation of the reasons for the postponement.
