SK has accused one of leaders “Right sector” in the kidnapping of journalists


As reported by the acting head of the Department for interaction with mass media of the Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, of involvement in the kidnapping of journalists “stars” of the accused, the Deputy commander of “Right sector” (banned in Russia organization) Valentyn Manko. Him in absentia charged under article 126 and article 144 of the Russian criminal code

Valentin Manko was Deputy commander of “Right sector”. Within this organization, he tried to become an MP, but was defeated by the representative of Party of regions. After that, he left the movement and founded his own party “the Union of patriots of Ukraine”.

In June 2014, the Investigative Committee said that the abduction of journalists “Stars” was organized with the knowledge of the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, who was then Governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky and senior officials of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine.

In SK also reported on the continuation of the identification of the perpetrators of the kidnapping of the journalists of the TV channel “life news” near Kramatorsk in may 2014. The latter, according to the Ministry of defense of Ukraine, were transported to the militia of Donbass portable anti-aircraft missile system “Thunder”. However, the Russian investigators found that Ukrainians demonstrated MANPADS have been produced in Poland and on the territory not supplied. While similar complexes in 2007-2008 were sold to Georgia with the mediation of Ukraine.

According to investigators, this fact suggests that in the case of journalists, “life news” the arrest was illegal.

The journalists of “life news” Marat saychenko and Oleg Sidyakin were accused in Ukraine of espionage. Freed them with the personal participation of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
