Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that the investigation into the Fund of struggle against corruption on its real estate and related funds is made for “compote”, reports TASS.
“Take it all different kinds of rubbish, any rubbish is collected about me, if it’s about me, about my friends, about the people, about whom I never heard. About some of the places I’ve been. About some places that I too have never heard of. Collect some papers, photos, clothes. Then create a product and present it,” — said Medvedev during a meeting with workers of the plant of LLC “Tambov bacon”.
The Prime Minister also noted that “the person who is looking it is difficult to understand”, and “if it is still well paid, the product obtained is sufficiently good”.
According to him, “attacks on the government” is beneficial to those who order this kind of materials, that “people who have a specific political goal.”
“They’re trying to show that the government behaves badly, and they are better than everyone else. All would be nothing if this was not a well-defined story. History, namely, to get people outside and to achieve their political goals”, — said Medvedev.

This is the first public reaction of the Prime Minister on the investigation of the Fund of struggle against corruption, which led to the anti-corruption protests in Russia. The FCO has published an investigation about the residence of Dmitry Medvedev and the related funds a month ago, on March 2.
Press Secretary of Prime Minister Natalia Timakova said that the investigation is “distinct pre-election character,” and added that the comment “propaganda attacks the opposition and the convict character”, saying that he already has some campaign and fighting with the authorities is meaningless.
Since then and until today, neither the press Secretary of the government, nor Medvedev himself did not comment on the investigation of the FBC.
After the publication of the investigation, the founder FBK Alexei Navalny and his supporters organized in several cities of Russia anti-corruption rallies that took place on 26 March in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and other cities of Russia.
In Moscow anti-corruption rally on Tverskaya street had not been agreed by the authorities. In the 26 March on Tverskaya street and the adjacent territories, according to police estimates, there were about 7-8 thousand people, and more than a thousand people were detained by law enforcement agencies.
LLC “Tambov bacon” is included into group of companies “Rusagro”, the largest Russian agricultural holding for the production of sugar, pig breeding, growing and oil production.
