In St. Petersburg died a member of the Federation Council Vadim Tulpanov. It is reported by the St. Petersburg edition of “Fontanka” with reference to sources. The source of “Interfax” in law enforcement agencies confirmed this information. According to him, he died in the Kirov district of St. Petersburg.
As a cause of death the sources of “Interfax” and “Fontanka” is called an accident — he “slipped in the bath and hit his head.” According to “Interfax”, Vadim of Tulips “received a fracture of the skull base”.
Vadim Tulpanov was the head of the Federation Council Committee on rules and organization of parliamentary activity. In the upper house of Parliament, he represented the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. He was part of the Federation Council since 2011, when he was elected Senator from St. Petersburg. In 2014 he became part of the Federation Council from the Nenets Autonomous district.
Since 1998 Vadim Tulpanov was a member of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. In 2003 he became Chairman of the Legislative Assembly. He held this post until 2011.
