The Supreme Council of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic (PMR) at the hearing on 4 April adopted a resolution, which is the appeal to Russia with a proposal to accept the documents TMR. This was reported to journalists following the hearing, the speaker of the Transnistrian Parliament Oleksandr Shcherba, the Agency “news of Transnistria”.

“The result of today’s hearing is the final resolution, where we turn to Russia with a proposal to recognize the documents issued by the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic,” said Scherba.

He noted that the document also notes the need to inform the Russian leadership about the situation in Transnistria in connection with the preparation of the installation of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and customs checkpoint in Kuchurgan, as well as “politically motivated squeezing CJSC “Moldavskaya GRES (the asset of OAO RAO “UES of Russia”) the energy market of Moldova”.

According to Scherba, increasing pressure on Transnistria “is an undeclared war,” so the Republic needs the “paternal care” of Russia.

The report notes that the parliamentary hearings, the results of which were adopted, was held on the theme “the present policy of the Russian Federation in respect of compatriots living in Pridnestrovie”. They were attended by deputies of the state Duma of the Russian Federation Artem Turov and Alexei Silanes, adds, “RIA Novosti”.

The speaker added that after considering the text of the resolution drafting group, composed of staff of the presidential administration, government members, deputies of the Supreme Council and public figures, it will be sent to the Russian leadership.
