Sberbank sharply reduced rates on deposits


Moscow. 5 APR. Sberbank of Russia from April 4, reduced rates on deposits and savings certificates to roubles on 0,3-1,05 percentage points, reported the press service of the Bank. The maximum rate on the Deposit base and online ruler decreased by 0.55 p. p. and now is 6.1% for a period of 3-6 months.

“The reasons for the change was the decrease of 27 March, the key rate of the Central Bank and the market trend to lower interest rates on deposits due to a sharp deceleration of inflation which can lead to the achievement of the objectives of the Bank of Russia’s inflation at around 4% this summer”, – said the press service.

Until the end of March to savings Bank acted promotional contribution “a New level” with a yield of 7.7% per annum. The change in rates across the range of deposits the Bank last met at the end of September 2016. Then rates on deposits was reduced by 0,3-0,55 p. p., the maximum yield was set at the level of 6.85%.
