Moscow. 5 APR. The number of poor in Russia in 2016, rose by 0.3 million, amounting to 19.8 million people, said Wednesday Rosstat.

In 2015 as a result of revaluation data (in connection with the information on the Crimea and Sevastopol) indicator population with incomes below the subsistence minimum was increased to 19.5 million from 19.2 million In 2014, the number of poor in Russia was equal to 16,1 million people, in 2013, 15.5 million, in 2012 15.4 million in 2011 and 17.9 million in 2010 and 17.7 million in 2009 to 18.4 million in 2008 to 19.0 million in 2007, 18.8 million, in 2006, 21.6 million people.

The poverty level in Russia in 2016 amounted to 13.5% (in 2015 and 13.3%). In the IV quarter of 2016 the poverty level was 10.1% (in IV quarter of 2015 – 10,0%), in the third quarter was 18.8%, in the second quarter, 13.5 percent, in the fourth quarter and 16%.

The subsistence minimum in the Russian Federation, according to Rosstat, in the fourth quarter of 2016 was 9 691 thousand rubles per person per month vs 9 889 thousand rubles in the third quarter, 9 956 thousand rubles in the II quarter and 9 776 thousand rubles in the first quarter.

In the whole of Russia the average per capita monetary incomes of the population in the IV quarter of 2016 amounted to 35 973 thousand rubles a month (in the IV quarter of 2015 – 36 79 thousand rubles), which is 371,2% of the subsistence minimum (in IV quarter of 2015 – 376,5%).
