The man was detained on suspicion of hitting people in Stockholm, is a citizen of Uzbekistan, according to the Aftonbladet newspaper, citing unnamed sources.
This information is not officially confirmed. According to the interlocutor of Agency, the man is 39 years old, his name was not called. It is unknown how long he lives in Sweden. A friend of the men said that he works in the construction industry, has four children. According to her, she does not believe that this man could make the attack.
“He talked neither about politics nor about religion. The only thing he said, like more work to send money to his family,” she said in an interview with the publication.
Aftonbladet claims that the detainee in Facebook discovered propaganda films of the “Islamic state” (declared a terrorist organization and prohibited in Russia). He also allegedly put a mark “like” on a photo taken after the explosion at the Boston marathon in 2013.
