The President of the United States Donald trump believes that the meeting of the head of the state Department Rex Tillerson with his counterpart Sergei Lavrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin was successful. He stated this at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, reports Reuters.
According to him, the meeting went better than he expected. However, he urged to evaluate their results in the long term.
“It would be wonderful to see our country [the United States] and NATO has established contacts with Russia. Now we don’t get along at all,” said trump.
He expressed the opinion that Russia is “strong, very, very strong” country. However, he expressed caution about future relations with Vladimir Putin, saying that to see how it will build a political dialogue with Moscow.
