The Director of the Central intelligence Agency (CIA) Mike Pompeo said that WikiLeaks is “hostile to the [US] intelligence service”, which is associated with Russia, reports The Hill.
“Time to call Wikileaks what it really is: a hostile non-state intelligence service, which contribute to such players as Russia,” said Pompeo.
As the newspaper notes, the new Washington administration is not the first time publicly criticized Wikileaks, although he Donald trump has supported the organization as a candidate for the presidency of the United States.
In October 2016, Wikileaks began publishing the letters of John Podestà, Chairman of the electoral campaign of the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. Sam Podesta said that his email was hacked, “Russian”. In his opinion, this was done in order to give an advantage in the elections Trump.
