Putin left Kuyvashev, the head of the Sverdlovsk region before the election

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin by his decree approved the resignation of the Governor of Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvasheva, voluntarily filed a statement on early resignation and left him in charge of the region until the election.

“To appoint Evgeny Vladimirovich Kuyvashev, the acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk region until the entry into office of a person elected the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region”, — stated in the text of the decree.

Kuyvashev held a post of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region since may 2012, previously he was the Plenipotentiary of the President in the Urals Federal district (2011-2012), the mayor of Tyumen (2007-2011) and Tobolsk (2005-2007).
